Tzu Chi Foundation welcomes 69 new college scholars
After passing preliminary screenings and a panel interview, 69 new Tzu Chi scholars for NCR were welcomed to the Tzu Chi Foundation in a simple ceremony held on September 8 at the Buddhist Tzu Chi Campus in Sta. Mesa, Manila. Besides the quality education and generous allowances granted to scholars, a Tzu Chi scholarship inculcates values and Tzu Chi’s unique culture through monthly Humanity classes.
“We’re thankful to the foundation. This gives us a chance to enter and continue our studies,” says Jean Myca Manayaga, who along with her twin brother John Welter, received a scholarship. “This is a big help,” says Maurryn May Colico. “Soon enough, I well return this kindness.” “Thank you so much for giving hope to my family,” says Reanne Evz Hilado. “To them, I am their hope for a better life.”
