Cebu City’s Badjao community receives Taiwan rice aid from Tzu Chi Foundation
More than 100 Badjaos each receive a sack of 20-kg rice from Cebu City’s Anti Mendicancy Office.

On October 20, 2021, more than 100 members from the Badjao Community in Cebu City each received a sack of rice from Tzu Chi Foundation-Philippines at the Plaza Independencia.
Tzu Chi Foundation-Philippines gave sacks of 20 kgs Taiwan rice to Cebu City’s Anti Mendicancy Office (CCAMO) through Executive Director Gigi Vaño.
The rice distribution was led by commissioner Conchita Lim and speakers Dr. Limhong, Fredric Limhong, and colleagues.
Lim said that they are always willing to help Cebuanos, especially during the pandemic. They are looking into other sectors they can help, like vendors or victims of a fire.
