Tzu Chi Philippines joins “Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition” launch

Tzu Chi Philippines Deputy CEO Woon Ng attended the launching of the “Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition,” last June 28, 2023 at the 2F North Wing, Estancia Mall, Capitol Commons in Ortigas Pasig. The exhibit is the first stop in Southeast Asia.
Parallel with Tzu Chi's mission to provide relief through compassion in action, MichaelAngelo's works at the Sistine Chapel depict one’s spiritual journey to cultivate deeper understanding of one’s faith. The paintings also express the yearning for hope of many Filipinos.
Facilitated by the team behind Globe of Good's Hapag Movement, Tzu Chi Philippines was chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the exhibition. For every ticket sold, ten pesos (Php 10.00) will go to the Hapag Movement, of which Tzu Chi Foundation is a partner.
The exhibition opened last July 1 and will run until September 30, 2023 in Manila. These paintings will also be traveling to Cebu in the latter half of the year.
