160 scholars attend 2023 Tzu Chi Scholars’ Camp at BTCC
From July 7 to 9, Tzu Chi scholars from Pampanga, Bicol, (Palo) Leyte, Iloilo, Zamboanga, and the National Capital Region made a home away from home out of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Campus (BTCC) for the annual Tzu Chi Scholars’ Camp. “Nurturing Hearts, Inspiring Others” was the theme of this year’s camp.
Highlights of this most anticipated event for a Tzu Chi scholar include a talk on filial piety by Albert Briongos, a career-related discussion by Darwin Soriano, dealing with stress by Dr. Ronaldo Motilla, introduction to veganism by Astig Vegan chef RG Enriquez-Diez and her husband Chris, and group sharing via candlelight in the activity Starry, Starry Night. Graduating Tzu Chi scholars were also recognized in a symbolic ceremony, and former scholars met to formally launch the Tzu Chi Philippines College Scholars Association.
