Gerald Seciban: From Setback to Spark
Twenty-two-year-old Gerald Seciban’s dream of completing his studies did not end when his family could no longer support his education. In fact, this pushed him even further to persevere for his family. Just when he thought withdrawing from college would conclude his journey with Tzu Chi as an Educational Assistance Program scholar, another opportunity presented itself. He became one of Tzu Chi Foundation’s Technical-Vocational scholars for welding, Batch 4.
Now, as he completes his welding course, his sense of accomplishment is immeasurable. For him, this is more than a skill. It is a step closer to his dreams, and a light of hope that will change his life for the better.
