Tzu Chi Bicol volunteers provide hot meals to families affected by Typhoon Kristine
By Tzu Chi Bicol Volunteers
On October 27, our Bicol Tzu Chi volunteers in partnership with JLo BIG HEART Foundation came together to prepare hot meals for the stranded passengers in Naga City and evacuees in Baao, Camarines Sur, affected by Typhoon Kristine.
The initiative reached a total of 1,000 beneficiaries, including 150 evacuees at Rosario Schools, 316 residents of Barangay San Roque, and 150 from Barangay San Francisco, Baao Camarines Sur.
Additionally, the volunteers distributed 384 hot meals to stranded passengers and truck drivers, ensuring that everyone had access to nourishing food.
Their enthusiasm and dedication not only brought meals but also smiles and encouragement to the community.
We hope the warm lugaw (porridge), eggs, and bread bring comfort and nourishment during this challenging time. Together, we can make a difference!
