On World Hearing Month, Tzu Chi scholars and medical assistance beneficiaries learn how to communicate with the hearing-impaired.

The hearing arm of Tzu Chi’s Free Clinic continues to grow with a donation of 300 hearing aids from Australian-based couple Rotary PDG Danny Low and Dr. Angeline Low, and the turnover of a screening audiometer and tympanometer and other accessories from otorhinolaryngologist and audiologist Dr. Joyce Rodvie Sagun, who received them from a grant in the US. This gives hope to Gerald and Jenny Tabuac, whose son Jenard was diagnosed with mild hearing impairment and Level 2 autism. Through such collaborations, said Danny Low, “we can definitely make a big difference and impact to the lives of many in this world.”
