Tzu Chi Zamboanga donated Solar Panels to Yellow School

Tzu Chi Zamboanga in partnership with Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation donated 10 big solar panels to Yellow School of YBH and 100 solar panels to 100 households of Barangay Sitio Teheman, Maluso, Province of Basilan.
Last January 11, 2024. Tzu Chi Zamboanga visited Sitio Teheman in Basilan. Tzu Chi Volunteers immediately visited the peaceful village and got to see the situation of our Sama brothers and sisters.
With much relief, Tzu Chi Volunteers saw the comfortability of the people of Sitio Teheman benefitting from the solar panels given out.
According to Sister Lisiel B. Bacayo “I’m happy to see the people being able to enjoy the life with electricity, I am happy we have able to share a ray of light to this communtity”
One of the recipients Judy Ann Abduasi shared that “We struggled a lot especially at night, we use homemade lamps with gas that’s worth 10 pesos to illuminiate a portion of our home” she also added “Now, thank you to Tzu Chi Foundation because the solar panels helps us in so many ways, our life gets more easier”
Tzu Chi Zamboanga is happy to help people who are truly in need. The story of Judy Ann Abduasi moved our volunteers and aims to help more people.
